Enjoy Inexpensive Beer With Draft Beer System
Beer is the most consumed beverage in the world after tea and water. Considered to be the oldest fermented beverage in the world, it is produced by the saccharification of starch and fermentation of the sugar thus produced. Draft beer system allows you to enjoy flavorful but inexpensive beer at restaurants as well as home.
Beer usually contains around 4-6 per cent of alcohol, though in certain cases it may go as high as 40 per cent. The process of making beer is called brewing. The factory where beer is made is called a brewery, though it can be made at home as well.
Beer is made by converting starch source like malted barley or wheat into a sugary liquid called wort. The wort is then converted into beer by fermentation process effected by yeast.
Draft beer is a fresh and tasty beer that can be sourced from a tap connected to a machine called the kegerator. This machine is usually installed at restaurant for dispensing of inexpensive but fresh beer; they, however, can be installed at home as well for a cheap, invigorating, and tasty beverage.
Draft beer gets its name from the English word ‘draught’ ...
... which means the act of drawing or pulling from the cask. Draft beer system refers to the system of drawing beer from a tap connected to a container whose sizes normally do not exceed five gallons.
The major difference between canned or bottled beer and draft beer is the pasteurization process undergone at the brewery. Beer meant to be disbursed through a keg does not undergo the pasteurization process. It means that the beer is kept cold but is never allowed to freeze. This gives the draft beer its unique flavor since the freezing temperatures at which beer is bottled or canned often interfere with its taste.
Draught beer often referred to as keg beer has been fast replacing European style cask beers. Though, there have been consumer concerns about the quality and taste of the draught beer, it continues to capture public imagination. Restaurants or pubs preferred this type of beer since it entailed less handling nuances.
Another characteristic associated with draft beer is that it must be consumed between 30-45 days after leaving the brewery. It requires a sound distribution mechanism to ensure that the beer is consumed within the period mentioned above.
A major advantage of drinking beer from a draft beer dispenser is that it is environmentally friendly. Bottles or cans pollute the earth and water system and require expensive recycling process. Cups used in drinking from a tap are reusable. Likewise, glasses too are not an environmental threat since they do not need to be discarded even after multiple uses.
Beer drinking is often synonym with joy, celebration, and happiness. A good beer sets the mood for the occasion. Your own draft beer system at home allows you to enjoy the flavor and taste of a draft beer at almost half the price that you have to shell out at restaurants and bars.
