3 Ways To Know You're Ready For A Copywriter

Anyone can hire a copywriter. It seems like there's a copywriter for every niche; women, inspirational, entrepreneurs, solo-preneurs, etc. If your business is expanding, it only makes sense to delegate your marketing content to a copywriter. Or maybe you're not a wordsmith or writing is not your forte... hiring one is a viable option.
Before you hire a copywriter, are you really ready? Here are some things to consider before contracting with a writer:
Are you familiar with the art of selling through the written word?
Do you know what skills and talents to watch for in a copywriter?
Do you know what you want? Have you captured your vision?
Anyone can write, but not everyone can sell. Copywriting is the art of selling on paper, through e-mail campaigns, on web pages and through article submissions. Essentially, we're sales people capturing the attention of your target audience. Copywriters not only craft catchy slogans, but give life to your products and services for all to read.
So when searching for a copywriter, you must know and they as well, that they are sales people and their sole mission ...
... is to write to the hearts of your prospects so you'll make money. We're not writing beautifully crafted sentences to warm the heart of the reader - we are crafting together words to paint the picture of how your product or service will benefit their life.
As I said earlier, there are copywriters for every niche. How do you know your copywriter is the one? Simply ask the right questions. Questions like:
Who have they worked with previously?
Do they have writing samples?
Do they understand the English language?
These are basic questions any copywriter should answer (and then some), but after they've passed the basic test, they should demonstrate they understand your wants and needs for the service you're providing. They should clearly communicate your heart to your target audience authentically.
Lastly, come to the table prepared. Partnering with a copywriter can be an enjoyable experience and you can help foster this relationship by:
Knowing your target market
Knowing what service/product you're delivering
How your service/product solves your prospects problems
The more information you have, the easier it is for us to understand what you want, therefore, making it easier to deliver a written masterpiece that will boost your revenue and increase our income. After all, we're in the business of making money, while delivering great service and products to our target market.
