How To Get The Best Out Of Hajj? Find Out Here
Hajj is a golden opportunity that we should make the best use of. In our hectic life, we never find much time to reflect on the purpose of our life, and our relationship towards Allah. Hajj gives us that opportunity. This is literally a journey of a lifetime, and you must make sure that you do all the rites and rituals as told so that you return home as a fresh soul (as you were when you were born). We’ve brought here some tips that will help you know Hajj better and make the most out of your journey. Here are the tips:
• Make sure you perform all the rites and rituals in the correct manner
If you are not sure about all the rites and rituals that you need to perform in your Hajj, then you better order for a DVD that has all the information on Hajj rites and rituals; you can also buy a book; there are many choices; you can order these DVDs and books online as well.
Several tour operators that offer Hajj and Umrah packages hold pre-Hajj seminars; you can participate in these seminars to get to know Hajj and Umrah better.
• Choose only an experienced and professional tour operator
Experienced tour operators, like Al Hidaayah ...
... can make all the difference to your journey. They not only take complete care of your logistics, transport, and hotels, but also offer a fine selection of tour packages to meet the varying needs of their people. The best thing with having choices is you can choose the package that best meets your specific needs.
Then, we also want to highlight some common mistakes that our Muslim sisters make during Hajj or Umrah. Here are some of those mistakes:
1. Thinking their iḥrām is the ‘cap’ they wear
Some of our Muslim sisters have no idea about what ‘ihram’ is; they think it is the cap that they wear that they put on their hair. Well, it is not. Ihram is a state that you enter into, and not the cap.
By removing the cap or any other piece of clothing from the head won’t break your Ihram.
2. Fear of breaking the hair
Many women won’t put off their scarf, hijab, or dupatta for the fear of breaking their hair. This is an irrational fear. Just think about it. Why Allah would nullify your Ihram just because a few hair fell out of your head? He would never do this.
The things that are not allowed are hair-cut, hair plucking, shaving, etc. on purpose.
There is more to Hajj; we’ll cover that all in our upcoming articles. Our last piece of advice here is – book the best Hajj or Umrah package that you can afford.
