Good computer internet security is incredibly important, and more and more schools and businesses are installing tough security programs on the computers used by their students and employees. While this has its advantages for the school administrators and employers, and can stop inappropriate behavior, it can also be incredibly irritating. For example, if you’re on your lunch break and you want to do a little casual browsing online, maybe checking your Facebook and Twitter pages, you won’t be able to if your school or workplace has blocked them. Many employers are blocking sites that are “time sucks,” even if they’re not necessarily harmful or inappropriate. But there’s good news! You can get around this type of internet security by using a bypass proxy server. It will allow you to look at whatever you’d like without your bosses or teachers ever finding out.

So what is a proxy server? Basically, it will help you look at whatever web sites you’d like to by routing your viewing through your home computer.

Let’s imagine that your bosses block you from reading certain websites ...
... because of computer internet security. Let’s call “Ultrasurf.us” some filters will block websites based on their URLs. This means you wouldn’t be able to view the website from any computer at your job or school.

This is where a proxy server comes into play. Basically, a proxy acts as a go-between for your browser and the web site you want to look at. That way, as far the filter can tell, you’re not visiting “Ultrasurf.us,” you’re visiting the URL for the proxy. If you set the bypass proxy server on your home computer, the filter at work won’t see “Ultrasurf.us,” it will see your home IP address. This will allow you to look at “Ultrasurf.us” because it is incredibly unlikely that the internet security would be blocking your home IP address.

Once you’ve decided that a proxy server is the right solution for getting around the computer internet security at your job or school, there are a lot of choices on the market. You can contact an internet expert or search online for the best option. There are different ways to install the proxy depending on whether you use a Mac or a PC. And, then, when you’re done installing the bypass proxy server, you’ll be able to access restricted sites by sending your site requests through your computer at home.
