The greatest compliment a friend can pay is to come and stay a while, in your home. Whether for an afternoon, a weekend or longer, playing hostess to your guests can create the strongest of bonds.

One of the most fun short-term home improvement projects that can be undertaken is that of updating a small space, in this case the guest bathroom or powder room. From repainting or re-wall covering, to putting out a fresh vase of flowers, creating a space that a guest can call “theirs” for the moment, is a great pleasure to undertake.

When our team put this cozy bathroom together, we kept in mind the special guest who may be using it. We added a collection of seashore treasures (collected by the owners) to add the personal touch that says “Welcome”. This author collects ship helms for the guest bath.
