New York, NY - Ocean Blue & Sand, Punta Cana's premier five-star resort, will enhance the guest experience at this all-inclusive beachfront property by executing a series of refurbishments and upgrades to its public areas and guest rooms.

Conceived as the second phase of a multi-million dollar renovation which began in 2010, hotel furnishings will include new pillow-top mattresses and box springs, retouches on furniture and room décor, new bathroom fixtures, and superior lighting, among other general improvements. All guest rooms, including newly refurbished Privilege Junior Suites and unique two-story Honeymoon Suites, will be refreshed for maximum guest comfort and enjoyment.

The addition of a new Piano Bar and reformation of the popular lobby bar will be among the enhancements seen in the public areas. An exclusive Privilege check-in reception area is also underway, providing even greater service to guests who book upgraded Privilege and Honeymoon suites.

Guests will continue to enjoy varied and traditional fare available at two spruced up buffet restaurants, El Carey & La Tortuga, open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffets and Blue Moon are among Ocean Blue & Sand's nine international restaurant choices available to guests.

All remodeling work will be accomplished this fall during the hotel's low season, and will not disrupt guests during their stays. Improvements will be completed in time for the busy winter and holiday season.
