After the official announcement about iOS 7 at the WWDC, there has been a lot of buzz around for the same. Everyone seems curious to know more about this innovation from John Ive, the head of designing team at Apple. It is elegant, devoid of the infantile artifice, which was held responsible for infecting the previous incarnations. Here are a few features of iOS 7 that are going to give you a new level of experience altogether.

Flat design, grid, 3D layers and gestures - Designers have revamped the face of iOS completely including the typefaces, built-in apps, colour schemes, icons etc. The users will not be able to trace the older iOS in this version. The head of design team claims this to be the cornerstone of this iOS. The interface is made unobtrusive purposely and the unnecessary bars and buttons are no longer there. They have laid an added stress on content rather than the design in this version of iOS. This is the first time that an iOS looks like a part of a gadget rather than a downloaded app.

2. Control Centre - Finally, with this iOS Apple has proposed new control panel. It flashes as soon as you swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen. Profile modes can be toggled from there and even music can be controlled. You can perform various other tasks such as accessing the camera, calculator, using sleep mode, using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings etc.

3. Multitasking - With iOS 7, multitasking is available with all the applications. Already opened apps can be browsed just by swiping the finger over the screen. To dismiss a window, just throw it up. The Apple think-tank has made this iOS smarter as it can understand the preferences of its users and prepare the apps accordingly.

4. Car integration - In the newer version of iOS, Siri can connect to your car screen. In this function, the iOS will display an interface on the car's screen through which Siri will take orders etc. This car integration system will start in 2014 and cover cars manufactured by BMW, Mercedes, Chevy, Nissan, Honda and few others.

5. Siri - Siri has also been redesigned and made smarter and now it has new voices as well. You can ask it to increase your device's brightness or even play your last voice mail. It is now integrated with services like Twitter, Wikipedia, Bing and Microsoft's search service.

6. Notification Centre - The layout has been modified and given a simplified look. Now it has three layers: today, all and missed. The "today" layer notifies about all that is going to happen today including calendar as well as the weather. This appearance forces me to say that previous notification centre looked like a mess.

7. New Music and Camera App - Just like every other thing, the music player has also been redesigned. It is made simpler and a new feature called iTunes Radio has been added. The new camera app will organize the pictures by collections, moments and years. The new camera supports different formats, includes square and filters as well.

Then, there is a new AirDrop system, which allows sharing faster than Bluetooth. The Safari has been revamped and given a neater look. Other features include Voice-only FaceTime and a new activation lock.

In my opinion, the company has attempted to give users an out of the world experience with iOS 7 and have been successful in its goal until now.
