You can’t predict the future of the projects at the initial stage, but, you can plan your project at the initial stage overwhelmingly and can assure everyone related to the projects on the success of the projects. Your planning should be aligned with the company best practices and methodologies.

To bring the project success in any organization itself is great task – a very challenging task. If you are a project manager you can easily understand the challenges in your project. You can realize problems at each and every step … what to do to get rid of that?

First of all, you need to analyze the challenges for your project. While analyzing challenges in the project, first thing comes in mind is how to make it success. Secondly, what could be the possible constraints in the project which need to focus attentively by you to avoid any misfortune in the project? If you could consider present day’s scenarios in each and every organization, the below-mentioned issues first crop up in mind:

People not happy:

It is a major issue now-a-days; you need to keep people every time happy with your project ...
... activities. Though it is a challenging task, but as a project manager you need to keep everyone happy with the project performance or any project activities. Now-a-days stakeholder’s importance is very much needs to be concentrated so that you can successfully complete the project. Remember, stakeholder can positively or negatively impact the project goal. Keep everyone on a single page so that everyone related to your project feel good and support you accordingly.

Customer not happy with schedule:

Customer is the King. Do you think you can ignore this king in anywhere in your project activities? Simply not! While running project in mid-way, if customer wants to complete the project before the stipulated time without giving you more price for that; as a project manager what would you do? You will be thinking of crashing the project activities to complete the project little bit earlier. Doing so you are increasing the price and that is not possible as customer will not pay you more for that. So, you should think of the second option i.e., fast tracking, starting few activities parallel with a solid planning for quality so that it should not hamper at all. Working on activities simultaneously can complete the project quickly but a concern will be there to concentrate more on quality. Here, project manager should focus more on soft logic dependencies to create a logical relationship between successors and predecessors. Sponsor not happy:

High possibility is that you are doing excellent work in your project, but your organization is not happy at all. The best way to prevent this is to invite all the stakeholders and discuss about the project requirement at the initial stage of the project. Mainly you should consider project sponsor and other higher management people who are directly or indirectly involve in the project. If you are taking any big decision; you should ask and discuss with your sponsor and higher management so that everyone remains updated. But, really it is very challenging now-a-days for a project manager to keep organization happy every time.

However, to keep the logical flow and principles running throughout the company many organizations are adapting to various global guidelines of project management set by institutes like PMI. The companies also prefer their existing employees being a certified project manager by taking a PMP Test.
