How To Ensure The Diamond Saw Blade Security

During the industrial manufacture, it is common to use diamond saw blade to cut and saw some hard materials which are not easy to be cut. In 2010, the CEN had revised the EN13236 standard and based on the new standard, diamond saw blade’s tool bit should have better performance of bending strength, which should be up to 600MPa and meanwhile the ratio between tool bit height and matrix thickness should be less than or equal to 8.5.

How to improve the diamond saw blade’s security? Here are some measures that should be followed.

Firstly, optimize the factory formula. When using the raw material powder with low content of oxygen, the thickness of tool bit is 1.6mm and the height of it is 7mm, at the same time, wrench chain strength with volume production is 15~20N·m, all of which accord with revised EN13236 standard.

Secondly, optimize the manufacturing technique, it is recommended to use laser welding technique. With the traditional high frequency welding technique, the combination strength of welding is not very good, especially under the high temperature. When cutting and sawing, the tool bit is easy to drop so as to result in security incidents. On the other hands, with advanced laser welding technique, the welding gap should be firm and the using security can be guaranteed.
