Cellulite is considered to be one of the leading reasons why so many women lack self-confidence and are afraid to where revealing clothing today. No woman wants to wears shorts or a skirt that will reveal large areas of cellulite on their thighs. This has led to an incredible surge in the number of women who spend countless hours is search of the perfect anti-cellulite treatment. This has in fact become a multibillion dollar industry and one which is expected to continue to grow exponentially.

The Extensive Number of Anti-Cellulite Treatments

One of the biggest problems facing women searching for and effective anti-cellulite treatment is the seemingly endless variety of treatments on the market today. So many of the different treatments claim to be able to accomplish miracles, most with virtually no personal effort. Among the most common forms of cellulite reduction treatment being sold today, are a wealth of creams, potions, and pills, some of which have been found to be far more effective than others.

There are also a number of both surgical and non-surgical anti cellulite treatments available. Among ...
... them, liposuction may be the most common. Mesotherapy, edermologie, and laser treatments have also begun to enjoy wide scale popularity, yet even these very costly forms of cellulite reduction treatment have only limited success rates.

Cellulite Basics

In order to better consider what type of anti-cellulite treatment might actually work for you, you need to understand the basics of what cellulite is and how it forms. In and of itself, cellulite is a form of fat which builds up under your skin in thick rough layers. The fact that this fat does not form evenly is what gives your skin the look and feel of an orange peel, one of the leading reasons so many seek an effective form of anti-cellulite treatment.

• Cellulite can form for a number of reasons, for some this formation is a result of genetic inheritance, but far more of those seeking an anti-cellulite treatment do so as a direct result of being overweight. The physical appearance of the layer of cellulite will vary from one person to another and from one area of the body to another. The majority of those with noticeable cellulite are adult women, but it also occurs frequently in men.

The Most Effective Anti-Cellulite Treatments

As with many conditions which are often a direct result of being overweight, the best possible treatment or cure is prevention. For the average person this involves a regular exercise regimen including long walks, jogging, or cycling and a good cardiovascular workout. It also means eating a healthy diet which is rich in fruits and leafy green vegetables, along with lean meats, fish, poultry, and nuts. It is far easier to avoid the risk of adding layers of cellulite than it is to find a successful anti-cellulite product.

• There are a number of creams sold as anti-cellulite treatments, some of which have been found to be relatively effective. In many cases they actually serve to do much in the way of removing the wrinkles and pock marks by thickening and strengthening the skin rather while still helping the body to remove the cellulite. While these forms of anti-cellulite treatment might enhance the appearance of the skin, they may require extended use in order to reach maximum effectiveness.

• One of the more successful forms and non-surgical forms of anti-cellulite treatment on the market is edermologie. This procedure involves mechanical stimulation of the fat cells stored beneath the skin. It causes the fat cells to break apart, allowing them to be reabsorbed into the bloodstream where they can be processed and disposed of as waste. Not only is this anti-cellulite process considered quite successful, it is painless and unlike liposuction, does not require any form of invasive surgery.

Choosing the right anti-cellulite treatment requires taking the time to look at your options, study the products available and consider the extent of your cellulite. You may even find you need to try more than one form of anti-cellulite treatment in order to achieve the desired results.
