French Mastiff

French Mastiff is a very old French breed. It is a breed that is very strong, impressive and powerful. They are generally brachycephalic molossoid kinds. These dogs have a very strong muscular body and maintain a harmonius temperament. This type of breed has been used in various forms, by utilizing their power for pulling carts or pull heavy objects, guarding herds and castles of European elite.

French Mastiff sometimes called the Bordeaux Bulldog is short, sturdy Molosser breed having a thick-set and broad head. The standard breeds of American Kernel-Club and European FCI stipulate minimum weight of 50 kg (110lbs) for males and 45 kg (99lbs) for females. The weight for these dogs should be balanced as per their construction and conformation standard of breed. The standard indicates that at maturity, desirable height should range between 58 to 67.5 cms (23.5 to 27 inches) for dogs and 57 to 65 cms (22.5 to 25.5 inches) for bitches. These dogs have a pleasing temperament and are fully dedicated to his master and their families, gifted for guarding, which he presumes with great bravery and vigilance but with no aggressiveness. Alaskan Husky
