You need hot water for numerous things. Brewing tea or coffee, making noodles, cooking different food items, to wash your hands, bathing, clean utensils, wash clothes — the list of reasons why you need hot water is endless. Whether you use electricity or LPG cylinders, you are in effect using sources of energy which is non-renewable. The greatest advantage of using solar power is that it is renewable and will last till the sun runs cold. Whether you need the hot water at home, in office, in a hotel, restaurant or in a hospital, installing a solar powered water dispenser is one of the smartest moves you could make. The sheer savings you make in utility bills will make it pay for itself.
Just keep in mind that gadgets using monocrystalline solar panel are the best. However, many solar products (particularly those for use with emergency products) use amorphous solar panels. Amorphous solar panels use different components from mono or polycrystalline panels. Most amorphous solar panels have one great feature, particularly for emergencies: they ...
... usually can charge during cloudy weather or when located in moderately shady places. All you need to do with your solar office water dispenser is to place it where it will receive sunlight through the day, like a window sill and enjoy hot water through the day.
Since there are many kinds of such water dispenser's available, check to see how long the water will stay hot after sundown or whether it will heat the water during cloudy weather. The design should incorporate appropriate insulation methodology to prevent the need for continuous heating. The upper surface of the collector should be covered with tempered glass with low iron oxide content. Ensure that the glass is designed to withstand high thermal stress i.e. heat from the sun as well as impact from hailstones. In case the primary source of your solar office water dispenser is on the roof or any exposed area, check to see whether there are any anti-freeze systems in place.
