Production Of Variety Of Cap Designs By Custom Cap Molds

The plastics are used everywhere for different purpose. But the major application of plastic product is bottled and containers. The plastic containers are used to store gas and other chemicals like alkaline solutions, etc.. But the plastic bottles are used for filling purified drinking water and available to the market as the on demand packed drinking water. As the population increases day by day, the usage of plastic containers and bottles are also increased. This increase of usage is due to the plastic’s characteristics such as light in weight, reusability, durability and recyclable. There are many grades or ranks of plastics based on its number of recycling process underwent.
The important part of plastic container product is the cap, which is used to open and close the container. ... more cavities in the cap mold. But the more caps with different sizes can also be manufactured by using custom cap molds. The cavities in the mold can be developed by using lathe machines. The metal like stainless steel is used to cast the mold since they withstand a longer lifetime. The raw material for cap molding are thermoplast and polyethylene. Both the raw materials are mixed by equal propositions and blended. The mixture is fed to the plastic injection machine for the manufacturing process.
Different colors for the cap is also brought by adding color granules along with the feedstock. The feed stock is melted by heating it to 270⁰C using induction heaters constructed around the injection cylinders. The injection cylinders are designed in a volume that is sufficient to inject to the cap mold. The size of the injection cylinder varies for different custom cap molds used for manufacturing. The ultra cooling system is used to cool the mold. The water is used as the coolant and it is circulated internally around the mold. The advanced machines are more faster in production which takes 0.86 seconds to compress the mold and 2 seconds to cool the mold and 0.96 seconds to open the mold and ejecting the product out. The custom cap molds have the cavities for different cap sizes in a single mold. These molds have the interior mechanical designs which can expand the cavity for large size caps and converge the cavity for smaller size cap. This expansion and convergence mechanism is supported by the embedded systems. The embedded system is the programmable computers that control the process we desire.
The caps manufactured are put under series of tests to meet its specifications and its quality. These test are associated with the testing of its strength , withstanding of external temperature, internal threading structure and its size that fit correct to the container.
