March, 2009, Ahmedabad: Frameboxx, a versatile conglomerate with a focus on Animation & Visual Effects, organized one of its kind workshop on Short Live Action Movie Making for the first time in Ahmedabad at the S.G. Road Centre. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Paresh Parekh, an industry expert on short films & acting for animation, on complete live action movie making.

To make the seminar a worthwhile experience for the aficionados, industry stalwart, Mr. Paresh Parekh, Casting Director for famous movies like Rang De Basanti, Mangal Pandey, etc, descended upon to impart knowledge on complete live action movie making. The main aim behind conducting this workshop is to enlighten the aspirants about the bright prospects of animation industry.

According to Mr. Paresh Parekh, Through such workshops we wish to make the students of S.G. Road, Ahmedabad aware about the industry standards and the fill the gap between the two. We wish to provide the students across India an opportunity to interact with industry professionals.

The seminar highlighted the following topics: pre-production (scripting, storyboarding), ...
... production (location hunting, cinematography, acting, directing) as well as post-production (editing, compositing) to make a complete live action movie in the three day span. All the short films created by the students of S.G. Road Centre will be sent to an up-coming national competition called Aarohi Film Festival where the prize money is Rs.8 lacs as well as "Frameflixx Awards".
