If you are an herb lover and planning to grow healthy herbs in your indoor garden, the best way to choose is hydroponic production. You will surely feel the real joy and once you taste them you would never go back to the packet system. Herbs are known to be slow growers and it may take months to get them bigger in size. But when they grow completely, you can get a steady supply for a whole year. These plants need to be kept in a bush rather than clipped to any stem. The conditions should be high light and warm temperature ranging from 40 to 70 degrees.

The herbs you grow in your Indoor Herb Garden need little care but you have to keep them in a separate unit. Some of the most frequently grown herbs are

Basil: Fresh basil gives your food a sweet and tangy flavor and is mostly used in Italian dishes, tomato-based cuisines and peanut butter. You have to keep its top pinched off so as to get a bushy production. Have you ever tried chopped basil leaves on your salad, it tastes awesome.

Marjoram: It can be called as a sweet and milder edition of oregano. ...

Mint: An herb with lots of merits and a great essence. It requires warm temperature and a good drainage system. It is best used in the crushed form with brewed ice tea and mixed drinks. Mint leaves are used to manufacture breath fresheners and some medicines also.

Oregano: All your favorite Italian, Spanish and Mexican dishes like pizza, soups and stuffing’s are incomplete without a sprinkle of oregano. Its leaves are widely used in spaghetti sauce.

Thyme: It is used in meat soups, pork stuffing and sometimes in onion dishes.

Chives: This is known to be the best culinary herb. Mix it with melted butter or top it on potatoes, it will taste wonderful.

Rosemary: These are little springs which are crushed and used in chicken, pork, pastas and breads. You will feel the real taste when rubbed onto a leg of lamb before roasted.

All these herbs are very important and widely used in a number of tasty dishes. These add spices to your dish and enhance the taste with their essence. We should always keep a fresh hydroponic herb growing in our kitchen garden as it adds charming touch to our gallery. If you plant 5 to 6 of your favorite herbs and harvest straight from the plant, you will serve the best dishes you ever had cooked in your life. This method is not expensive and provides a healthy nutritive crop to you. The main point which you need to know before planting these herbs is that drainage system should be properly installed with airy surroundings so that they can grow at their best in suitable atmospheric conditions.
