It is the animals here that are the main attraction, however - the Serengeti is known for its large lion population as well as being home to plenty of zebras, buffalo, gazelles and herds of wildebeest.

As well as the Serengeti, another popular safari destination is Okavango, a region in the country of Namibia in southern Africa. On an Okavango safari you will find beautiful yet contrasting landscapes including deserts and mountain ranges, and of course there is some incredible wildlife for you to see, including elephants, rhinos, game and much more.

When you go on safari not only are you treated to seeing some rare and majestic creatures in some beautiful surroundings, but you also get to stay in some great lodges in which you are sure to feel at home.
