Christmas is the festival of joy and celebrations. This festival holds a special importance for kids and they wait patiently for it to come. For them Christmas is always associated with a plump, joyous, white- bearded man – wearing a red coat and carrying a big bag full of gifts and treasures, which they have written for. Writing letters to Santa is one of the most loved traditions, especially by the kids. It dates to centuries back when kids used to write letters to Santa and demand things they always dreamt of. Even today it is the same goodie list to Santa Claus. Kids also write personalized statements about their general good behavior during the year and why they deserve the gift they have asked for. These traditions run in families from generations and promote the children’s belief in Father Christmas .This gesture helps in improving the bonding between parents and kids.

Moreover, due to this ever changing lifestyle people are so occupied thinking about themselves that they forget about the society they live in. Christmas spirit is all about sharing and caring. So apart from your family you must also do something to make this festival a happy one for other kids. Something that will make these kids realize that Santa exists and their mails would be answered. Children are innocent and always long for items which are very general. Children ask for basic items like clothes, shoes and toys, so you need not worry much. You can organize parties at home and can ask the guests to bring a small present which can be donated or you can just buy another set of goodies just like your kids and distribute them. Buying small goodies does not hit your pocket much but gives you happiness which remains with you till eternity.
Sometime back ‘adopt a letter a program’ was introduced by United States Postal Services (UPSC). This program was designed such that people can adopt any letter from millions sent to Santa every year and send those little ones whatever they have desire directly to them by post. It was very successful as better off people could share their happiness with kids living far and make this festival truly memorable for them. So, this Christmas put a smile on the faces of needy children. Let us make the children’s letters to Santa come true to life.
