Lasagna With Chicken And Homemade Seasoning
Ingredients:
• Lasagna sauce
• 1 cup canned, diced tomatoes
• 1 cup tomato sauce
• ½ cup water
• ¼ cup onions, diced
• ¼ cup green bell peppers, diced
• 1 cloves garlic, diced
• 1/8 cup chopped, fresh parsley leaves
• ¾ teaspoons Italian Seasoning
• ¾ teaspoons homemade seasoning, recipe follows
• ¾ teaspoons salt
• ¾ teaspoons sugar
• 1 bay leaf
• ¾ pounds chicken mince
• 6 lasagna noodles
• 6 ounces cottage cheese, mixed with ½ beaten egg and ¼ cup Parmesan
• ½ cup Gruyere cheese, grated
• ½ cup Swiss cheese, grated
• 1 cups cheddar, grated
• 4 ounces cream cheese
• ½ cup mozzarella, grated
Directions:
1. Start off your lasagna by preheating the oven to 180° C.
2. To make the lasagna sauce mix the tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, onions, peppers, garlic, parsley, seasoning mixtures, sugar and bay leaf in a large, heavy pot. Bring it to a boil over a high flame and then reduce the heat and simmer, covered, for around an hour. ...

3. Put the chicken mince in a large for the lasagna. Cook until all the chicken is nicely brown and well cooked.
4. Add the chicken mince to the pot with the lasagna sauce and simmer for another 20 minutes.
5. While the sauce is cooking, boil the lasagna in salted boiling water till al dente.
6. If you find the lasagna sauce is too thin, you can thicken it up by mixing ½ tablespoon of corn starch and a little cold water. Bring the lasagna sauce back to a boil. Stir constantly and then remove the bay leaf.
7. To put the lasagna together, place a thin layer of sauce in the bottom of a lasagna dish. Layer 1/3 of each, lasagna noodles, cottage cheese mixture, Gruyere, Swiss and cheddar cheeses.
8. Add another layer of sauce. Repeat layering till the last layer is lasagna sauce. Bake for around 20 minutes.
9. Remove from the oven and top again with mozzarella and continue to bake for another 10 to 15 minutes till the cheese is nice and bubbly.
10. Let it cool for around 10 minutes before serving.
11. Your lasagna recipe is ready to be enjoyed by one and all! Taste the yumminess for yourself.
Homemade Seasoning For The Lasagna Recipe:
Ingredients:
• ½ cup salt
• 1/8 cup black pepper
• 1/8 cup garlic powder
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
