Royal Jordanian Airlines – Offering More Than Enough

The ‘Flag Carrier’ of Jordan, based out in Amman, Royal Jordanian Airlines, flies across four continents providing the best of services and conveniences for travel experience by flight. It is the airline that has won the Airline of the Year Award in 2007. And it makes it presence feel by flying more than 500 flights every week.
Onboard the flight, the airline offers two travel classes such as the Crown Class and Economy Class. The Crown category offers flatbed seats that you can comfortably sleep in, and has individual reading lights and a LCD screen. A four-course meal is served to passengers during the long and medium flights and tasty snacks and refreshments for short ones. Passengers can enjoy the facility of the crown lounge on early arrival.
The Economy Class, on the other hand, offers the same seating comfort except for the tilt feature. On the ground, the airline offers many check-in options. Apart from web and airport check-in, the advanced check-in facility is available at the Amman Airport. There are also self-check-in kiosks available at the airport. Passengers can also have Premier check-in, which lets the staff handle all check-in procedures. The airline also takes care of special needs like wheelchairs of passengers. There are special meals arranged according to dietary preferences. Pregnant women can fly until their 32nd week after which a medical certificate is to be provided.
Pets are allowed only in the Economic Class and treated as excess baggage, not exceeding 7 kg. Falcons are allowed on board, provided they have a handler. They should be properly hooded, attached to the seat with a chain. The airline through its online facility allows you to make advance reservation and choose window seats that are blocked with three times charge of normal baggage.
With a fleet strength of 32 aircraft consisting of Airbus and Embraer, the airline connects Africa, North America, Europe and the Middle East. Apart from this, the airline has ‘CodeShare’ and ‘OneWorld’ tie ups with airlines for providing a wider range of destinations. The cargo fleet carries valuable, perishable, live animals, mail and courier cargo, apart from chartered trips.
The Loyalty and frequent flyers can enjoy discounts on miles and can donate them to others using the Royal Plus programs, which categorise into Platinum, Gold, Silver and Blue. Royal Jordanian also offers Zuwar, a special tour organised for passengers who stop over at Amman for a transit at an extra cost.
