Consciousness is a process of recognizing the ideas and concepts that form the base of our beliefs. If you don’t know how to connect within yourself, problems arise. People start to feel depressed, confused and low in self esteem. These problems turn much serious with time. People face mental, emotional and spiritual imbalances and further get prone to physical distress and other serious diseases. It’s not the medical or surgical procedures that heal. It’s the special energy healing therapies such as Reiki, IET, spiritual healing etc that works on our body tissues and helps balance the energy fields. This process has been in existence since thousands of years but still most of the people don’t believe in these practices and consider it false.

With the advancement in technology and fast paced life, it is hard to believe that energy healing can do wonders especially when the medical science fails. People never believe until they see it with their own eyes, that is, the whole process of energy healing- The transfer of negative energy from one body to another through various sessions. It is for this reason that ...
... people start to make stories and spread rumors about these techniques. Some of the most common misconceptions are:

1. Energy therapies are a religion: Healing therapies are proven techniques to painlessly relieve suppressed feelings and limiting cellular memories. It is not associated with any religion nor is it based in any particular religious doctrine. It’s a form of science that never infringes on anyone’s belief or personal values.

2. Energy therapy is a massage therapy: There are many massage therapists that use energy healing in their massaging sessions but a professional energy healer never involves such approach. Energy healing includes the movements of hands over a body to keep up with the flow of energy but it doesn’t involve manipulating tissues physically.

3. Energy therapies are not proven: People have a strong belief that these energy therapies are not proven and are false treatment methodologies. But, in real, American Holistic Nurses Association has been practicing such therapies for more than 40 years easing depression, anxiety, stress etc among people much effectively. IET healing discovered by Stevan Thayer at the Center of Being founded in 1989 provides full time classes on self healing and spiritual growth. Also, there are proper certifications one should complete in order to be a professional Reiki master.

4. If practiced wrong, it will hurt the receiver: Energy is neither positive nor negative. It cannot hurt anyone. A person never absorbs any energy from the healer, rather healer acts as a medium to flow energy out from one body to another. Hence, giving treatment refreshes the healer rather than causing any problem.

5. Energy therapy depletes your own energy: An energy healer does not give its personal energy to the client. They serve as a channel to flow the energy from one body to another. There is never any imbalance of energy. These are all misconceptions spread by some of the inexperienced practitioners who feel exhausted after the procedure; it’s rather an indication that the practitioner is not using the universal life force energy principle or has some imbalance on his own body.

These are the most common myths that are associated with energy healing therapies. One should always believe that these energy therapies are just used to restore the energy fields in a body. It’s a practice which brings deep sense of relaxation in all aspects.
