Tennessee Inventor To Exhibit Tilt A Hitch At America's Largest Invention Show

InventHelp's INPEX, America's Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Lane Smith, from Knoxville, Tennessee, has invented the first trailer hitch that converts any trailer into a fully tilting trailer. This SEMA-award winning patented invention will be exhibited at INPEX 2013, June 19-21, in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
"Tilt A Hitch™" is a revolutionary hitch for today's towing needs. It also functions as a 12-position height level adjusting hitch in the above and below bumper positions. The unit is an indestructible tilting mechanism comprised of steel, weldment and, powder coat. It measures 10 ½ " high, 2 ¾" wide, 25" long and weighs 32 lbs. The installed length of the unit is 17" total.
Tilt A Hitch has met or exceeded the requirements for a class 4 (6-10,000 lbs GVWR) Weight Carrying Hitch in accordance with Society of American Engineers J684 test and the Vehicle Equipment Safety Commission Regulation V-5 test. It is approved for an 8,000 lb. towing capacity. It is built to last and is quality constructed of over 32 pounds of heavy steel. The Tilt A Hitch has a beautiful black powder ...
... coat finish. The Tilt A Hitch can also function as a load leveling hitch. The unit mounts to a standard 2" receiver and works on any ball-mount trailer. For more information, please visit www.tiltahitch.com.
The inventor was inspired to think of his invention due to his interest in cars. "I am an avid car hobbyist and I could not load my show or race cars without dragging," said Smith. "I refused to spend $6,000 or more for a tilting trailer. I felt I could build the tilting process into the hitch itself."
Smith is exhibiting at INPEX with the hopes of finding a distributor or licensee.
INPEX, The Invention Show, is a unique trade show that showcases new products and innovations that are available to business and industry to manufacture, license or distribute. As part of the trade show, The Invention Show sponsors INPEX Inventors University™, a series of seminars, presentations, and panel discussions to provide information that inventors may find useful in pursuing their ideas. This year, INPEX is proud to announce Reichart Von Wolfsheild and Scotty Ziegler, of History Channel's Invention USA, as the 2013 keynote speakers. INPEX 2013 will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh.
