Crops That Grows Best In Your Hydroponic - Indoor Vegetable Garden
In simple words a hydroponic cultivation of crops means planting their roots in liquid nutrient solutions instead of soil. A hydroponic garden can be your indoor garden where crops are supported in a neutral medium like gravel, mixed up with an appropriate amount of nutrient solution vital for them. This fluid fare then gets circulated around the roots by either a wick action or using a circulation pump. This whole system is really very efficient and creates an entirely preset green house.
As you plan for an Indoor vegetable garden, the very first thing is to spot the best suited place with 5 to 6 hours of bright sunlight , temperature ranging from 45 to 75 degree centigrade and airy atmosphere. Secondly you have to check which vegetables you can grow in your garden. Potatoes, beet and carrot are the vegetables which you can buy at economical price and offer very little benefit for hydro gardening. It will also the save your space for other necessary vegetables. Some of them are:
Broccoli: it’s a very healthy and nutritious crop with little flower like ...
... heads. You can grow only one plant per pot which means not in huge amount but still when it’s steamed and topped with melted butter, it tastes awesome. It only requires an airy space with temperature not exceeding 60 degree.
Spinach: is a crop which has more iron content than others. It is very useful for the people who need iron in their body. It requires a spacing of 3-4” and well drainage system. Spinach grows very fast and you can harvest it multiple times.
Cucumber: Great to choose for your hydro garden. Usually a single creeper provides you enough stock for the whole season. You just have to clip the creeper to the main stem and train it up to a string. The English breed does not need any pollination so they are seedless.
Onions: This crop is mostly preferred in the economically low areas. It requires spacing of 1” and a single pot sprouts dozens of onions. You can harvest them even when they are in the form of spring onions.
Eggplant: An eggplant is also called as black beauty crop. It grows in a tricky condition where temperature fluctuates from 40 to 60 degrees. A bunch of just few flowers can nurture in bigger sizes.
Green Beans: In winters, green beans are a good option for hydroponic production. These prefer a loose aggregate and a good drainage system. The temperature should not exceed 35 degrees.
Peppers: Whether its green bells or hot chili peppers, you will always find astonishing variety. These plants like warm temperature and very high light. Some of its hydroponic varieties are Delphin, Tango and Goldstar.
Finally one thing which can ruin all your hard work is either under watering or overwatering resulting in the death of your plants. So, you should always be sure that you have kept your plants under suitable conditions and allow adequate amount of water to them. Your baby greens will grow into healthy vegetables.
