Emirates Air Takes Care Of All Your Travel Needs

Established in 1985, Emirates Air has its base in the Dubai International Airport in United Arab Emirates. It is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, owned by the Government of Dubai directly under the Investment Corporation of Dubai. The airline has flight services to all the six continents from its hub at the Dubai International Airport. The largest number of flights by Emirates is to India. It flies to 10 cities in India, which include Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, and Ahmedabad.

The check-in at the airport is possible 2 to 48 hours prior to the departure of the flight either at the counter or at the lounge in the airport, or online through the internet. The airline also offers mobile check-in and self check-in kiosks, which are available at the Dubai International Airport.
The First Class, Business Class and Economy Class are the three classes available in the aircraft. The First Class has full suite with doors, flat bed and sleeper seats. The newly delivered A380-800 aircraft has additional facilities in the First class like private suites, lavatories ...
... with two showers and spa, as well as access to the first class bar and lounge. The First Class and Business Class are located on the upper deck of the aircraft.

The Business Class passengers get seats with 60-inch pitch, reclining at 79 inches. Massage function, winged and flexible head rests, power supply, individual treading light, laptop socket and 17-inch TV screen to view over 600 channels are other features in the Business Class. Passengers in the Business Class also have access to the onboard bar.

In the Economy Class, the seats have a pitch of 31-32-inch, and have adjustable headrests. The in-flight entertainment includes 600-1000 channels. There is a laptop socket in the newer aircraft and a charger in the older ones.

The entertainment system of Emirates includes ICE digital wide screen and Emirates TV and radio. ICE stands for Information, Communication and Entertainment. Ever since the ICE was introduced in the aircraft in 2003, it is receiving the award for the best in-flight entertainment form Skytrax. Emirates TV and radio is provided mainly in short-haul flights. This includes video and audio channels as well as games. BBC headlines are additional features besides external cameras giving you a fantastic view outside from the aircraft.

ICE has a link to in-flight email server. This allows the passengers to access, send, or receive emails by paying a charge of $1 per message. The seat to seat chatting is also offered here. Emirates Air has also signed a deal with Aeromobile, which enables the passengers to keep in contact with others on the ground. Presently, it is available only on selected Boeing 777 aircraft. It was first introduced on the flight between Dubai and Casablanca in 2008.
