Do you ever wake up thinking that you don’t feel rested at all? Do you walk through your days in a haze and wonder at the end what, if anything, you accomplished? Do you ever feel like there is just too much for you to do and if you had any time you would be depressed? Well, I am here to tell you that you are not alone. There are many travelling in this fast paced world who are feeling and wondering the same thing.

Would you believe me if I told you that the real answer is to simply slow down? This sounds very simple and unbelievable, but it is the answer to many of the problems that our fast paced world faces. Let’s take a look at some different things that might give you a better understanding of what I mean.

Food

The food that we eat so much of is killing us. Recently there have been many items in the news about the harmful effects of eating so much fast food. If we slowed down and took the time to cook a meal we would improve the quality of our food. Add to that the actually sitting down at the kitchen table and eating, maybe even with our families. instead of eating in the car between appointments ...

Travel

So many times we are so rushed and hurried that we don’t leave ourselves enough time to walk or ride our bikes anywhere. Consider what it would be like if you spent all the hours that you spend on exercising at the gym, actually walking somewhere instead of just on the treadmill. How about the miles you could log riding your bike to work instead of riding a stationary bike. We think about the additional time it would take to get somewhere, but what about the money and time we would actually be saving by not having to pay for a gym membership and then try and cram it into an already overfilled schedule.

Relaxation

Many people don’t even know what this word means anymore. It is as important to take time out for you to just sit and be still.
