Because of the cost involved many driving instructor courses now allow you to pay as you train. This is a great service, especially if you need to hold down your old job until you have passed your course and become a fully qualified instructor. Once you have passed you can than set up your own driving instructor business or work for another company who are employing fully qualified driving instructors.

There are many ways in which you can do your driving instructor training. Everyone is different and is able to learn at different speeds, so driving instructor courses understand this and can tailor a course for each individual. There are even intensive course available too that can be completed over weeks rather than months, much like a learning to drive intensive course where you can complete a course in a shorter space of time.

This part of the course can be done in your own time and when you feel you are ready to take the test you can do so. You will then have to prove you are able to drive to a very high standard. You will have to undertake a set number of hours driving with a qualified driving instructor. Once they feel you are ready you will then have to take a one hour driving test to assess your overall abilities.

The third and final part of driving instructor courses is the instructional part. You will have to prove to an examiner that you are able to instruct people properly. During your course you will be given guidance and instruction on the best techniques for this.
