Woodland Creek Furniture specializes in custom-made furniture. Woodland Creek is the only rustic furniture store in Michigan crafting many of its own lines of unique rustic furniture. Woodland Creek was founded by Robert Evina, who watched his uncles in Alaska craft log homes and rustic furniture. He travelled extensively during the summer of 1997 through remote villages in Russia, Romania looking for and finding exotic woods that would make very interesting Contemporary Rustic Furniture
Woodland Creek is located in Kalkaska and Traverse City Michigan and imports reclaimed wood from Eastern Europe, Mexico, Indonesia, China, California, Utah, and Colorado. He has successfully combined woods from Eastern Europe woods from California or Michigan to create a look unlike any other for the production of rustic, copper, barn wood, natural, contemporary rustic furniture as well as reclaimed wood and farm tables.Our mission statement is; to offer the highest quality, and unique furniture in the country with superior customer service.

... standing dead or reclaimed wood from farmers’ ranches or old barns. Woodland Creek has been using reclaimed wood for over 10 years – long before reclaimed furniture became popular. This makes it an eco friendly furniture company.

Our furniture designs have evolved over time. The line between rustic furniture and contemporary furniture is blurred. Even those who like contemporary furniture appreciate the organic feel of real wood. You get a very unique look by combining thick organic natural slabs with modern bases. Our contemporary rustic furniture will work in a modern or urban setting or in a timber frame or log home where the owners want to soften the rustic side. Woodland Creek Furniture uses only real wood for all its cabinets, furniture and mantels. Many pieces are constructed with real logs and solid slabs of wood. We prefer and actually seek out wood with cracks, twists and color. This is the inherent character of wood and is not considered a defect.

We are very fortunate to have some of the best rustic furniture crafters in the country designing and building custom furniture with wood and metal. Many have won awards and are true artisans. If our clients can dream it, we can build it.

Woodland Creek is one of only a few stores in the country where the client can visit the showroom for inspiration and then meet with the artisans to discuss your project. Our artisans will show you the different woods, and you are most welcome to get involved in the project of building your Contemporary Rustic Furniture.

You are welcome to visit our workshop and help select the woods for your project. Woodland Creek also carries several lines of furniture from specialized craftsmen from around the country and world. Customer orders require a 50% deposit to begin crafting. Balance is due prior to shipping. Woodland Creek charges the balance the day the shipping company picks up the furniture.
