Graduate Record Examinations or GRE is a step to be surmounted for getting admission to any grad schools in USA and other English speaking nations. A proper preparation of GRE is needed to crack the exam. This test is conducted by ETS or Educational Testing Service. The test puts emphasise on verbal and quantitative reasoning, analysing skills and critical thinking power. It is a computer based entrance exam taken in some of the registered centres. There are six sections in the GRE examination. The first one is about analytical and argumentative approach. In the issue task option, the examinee is required to write an issue oriented essay within thirty minutes. As the time provided to the students is quite short, it is advised to give GRE practise test in order have better preparation of GRE. In the argumentative option, an examinee is required to write an analytical and logical essay on the argument provided. The examinees are needed to find out the flaws in the argument rather than providing their own logic. Pupils who are regular in the debate classes can be benefitted from their habit in this section.
The examinees have no way to find out which section is the experimental one. Though it does not contribute to the overall result score, it is advised to the students to do their best in every section. The score of the each section of GRE is counted in one grad school to another, in one department from the other. GRE scores are valid for five years, and good score opens the window of great opportunity in USA and other English speaking countries. A student needs to ensure a substantial preparation of GRE in order to be able to score high rank. Sitting for regular mock tests enhances skill, speed and accuracy, extremely needed for cracking GRE exam. Therefore, regular study and GRE practise test must be combined in order to get coveted grade in the GRE exam.
