Escaping The City With Mauritius Tours And Maldives Holidays
Surrounded by the vastness of the Indian Ocean, south of the Indian peninsula and east of the island of Madagascar, are two of the world’s most popular island destinations for tourists. We are of course referring to Mauritius and the Maldives. All it takes to spark envy in the eyes of others today is to mention to them either a Mauritius tours or Maldives holidays. The scenic beauty and cultural heritage of both island nations, not to mention the strikingly quiet isolation are some of the aspects that are attracting more and more people to visit each year.
Mauritius
The first place you want to head to in Mauritius is the Pereybere beach, which can perhaps be most accurately described as Mauritius’ own Venice Beach. Shopping, food, drink, art and culture all thrive by the most popular public beach in the country. It’s not very quiet, but there are plenty of new things to try and enough friendly faces to meet. If you’re looking to move away from the crowd, however, the Labourdonnais Orchards with their exotic tropical trees and fragrant flowers should do you good, especially when explored via bicycle. Beach ...
... enthusiasts can check out Grand Bay, where adventure sports such as windsurfing, parasailing and water skiing abound, or the Le Morne and Tamarin beaches, which are surfing hotspots. If you simply want to sit back and soak in the sun, Belle Mare is the spot for you, with clean white sand as far as they eye can see. But don’t forget to head inland toward Port Louis, where one can sample some lip-smacking curry and tea.
Maldives
Further south of Mauritius lies Maldives, which is closer to the African continent than to India. As a result, the culture is entirely different from what one encounters in Mauritius, but equally delightful. Where surface sports prevail in Mauritius, Maldives is one of the world’s most treasured deep sea diving sites. The surrounding turquoise waters are home to over a thousand species of fish, and nocturnal are all the more beautiful. Wellness tourism in the Maldives is also becoming quite the rage due to the number of traditional spas. Beach bums will not be disappointed, either. The Maldives are actually an archipelago of over a thousand islands, and so there is no shortage of beaches, many of which are entirely unpopulated. The Maldives have a policy of operating just one resort on each island, which ensures that they do not get crowded so tourists can enjoy their peace and quiet.
Mauritius and the Maldives are both premier tropical beach destinations, considered one of the best places to escape the trials and tribulations of modern life. While both Mauritius tours and Maldives holidays can be slightly heavy on the wallet, planning your holiday well in advance should ensure that you get to see as much of either location without feeling financially strained. Keep your eyes and ears open for the best deals around!
