For Muslims the Islamic pilgrimage is of great importance. It is a ritual where millions of people come together and join hands in the holy procession. In this gathering people of all races, colors, and creeds gather together and pay their obeisance.

This ceremony is done over a period of four days in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. In this procession, people of all castes, creeds, and color stand together in the act of worship.

It can be seen as an act where Muslims stand together shoulder to shoulder, dressed as one, worshiping one God and praying in total unison.

This rite is done on the belief that it will rid all the hearts from any kind of inequality and will bring balance and peace to the world. It is believed that every Muslim must perform this holy rite once in their lifetime. It brings Muslims together, where they forgo all their enmity, come together, and pray in unison.

It is a pilgrimage that starts from 8th-12th of the Dhul Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar. It is performed under the guidance of Prophet Muhammad, but had begun since the era of Abraham.

Whoever performs ...
... this holy ritual is considered to be in a state of Ihram for several days. It includes several other rituals which comprises of circumventing the Kaaba, running between the two holy mountains, heading the plains of Mount Arafat, Stoning the Devil. After all this is completed, the person shaves off his/her hair and sacrifice an animal in the name of Allah.

Pilgrimage is an act which is said to purify ones soul of any kind of impurities and cleanse their mind. A devout Muslim always strives to get an opportunity to cleanse their minds and their soul. You need to get in touch with an agency that will provide you with all the requirements to go for hajj in 2013. Your hajj to mecca trip will be organized by the agency.
