Getting someone to look over your CV is always advisable. A fresh pair of eyes is more likely to pick up any small errors or grammatical mistakes. But would the person you ask be able to review it and give you a detailed critique of what’s good and what’s bad about your CV? This is where a professional CV review or CV critique is needed.

Getting a professional writer to undertake a CV critique or a CV review for you could be the difference between getting that job interview and missing out. You know what skills you have, what qualifications you have to your name and what strengths you would bring to the company or position you are applying for. But getting a professional writer to undertake a CV critique for you means the attributes most relevant to your chosen industry can be brought to life. A thorough CV review can result in a completely new document, which will get your name noticed by those who matter.

A CV review or a CV critique can vastly improve your CV. The professional reviewer will give you advice on how to handle a job-hopper image (where you have moved from job to job without spending long periods ...
... of time in each) or how to deal with gaps in your employment. A CV review will help you focus your efforts on your strengths and on the things about you that are most relevant to where you want your career to go.

If you are going to go down the CV review route, getting a professional CV critique is a must. CV writers are experts in their field, who know what works and what doesn’t, who have exceptional grammar and spelling skills and who know how to tell potential employers what they need to know about you. Having a CV critique will open your eyes to the best way to sell yourself to the people that matter.

Getting a CV review puts you streets ahead of the competition. While they are churning out the same CV that they have emailed or posted off to hundreds of jobs, your CV, having undergone a CV critique, will be concise, focused and relevant to the industry or position you are applying for.

If you have been struggling to get an interview, or even get through the first round of CV sifts for the jobs you have been applying for, then a CV review or a CV critique could be just what you need to kick start your job hunting and get your foot in the door. It can be demoralising getting rejection letter after rejection letter, but letting a fresh pair of eyes, and professional ones at that, take a look at your CV and give it a full review and critique could be just what’s needed to get you back in the game and into the job you want and deserve.
