Steam Turbine Locomotive

A stream turbine locomotive basically converts stream energy into mechanical energy which via turns the wheels and causes rotary motion and thus forms a major source of energy.
Basically a lot of efforts was on the steam power initially and early attempts use to face huge drawbacks after continuous research and development finally a steam engine with better efficiency was developed and served as source of transport and helped a lot in industry revolution. Steam turbine was considered to be have good efficiency and power.
A steam turbine is a mechanical device that uses thermal energy generated using pressurized steam , and converts it into rotary motion.
It has completely replaced the older use of piston in steam engine primarily because of itspower to weight ratio and greater thermal efficiency. Because the turbine generates rotational motion it is mainly suited to be used to drive an electrical generator – about 80% of all electricity generation in the world is done by using steam turbines.

A Fairlie is a one on the type of articulated steam ...
... locomotive that has thedriving wheels on bogie's. The locomotive may be double ended single-endeavor. While the Fairlie locomotive has least seen in today’s world, there is majority of diesel and electric locomotives presently in the world today following too distance from Farlie's but two power trucks with axles driven, and follow Fairlie's idea of being double-ended,that's been driven equally well in both directions.
The Mallet Locomotive is another type of articulated locomotive, which was named after the Swiss engineer named Anatole mallet.
There are two powered trucksin the Mallet locomotive. The rear is rigidly attached to the main body and the front powered truck is attached to the rear by a hinge, so that it may to and fro from side to side. The front end of the boiler is made to rest upon a sliding bearing on the front truck.

Mallet's original design was a compound locomotive , in which the steam was used twice, first was for high-pressure cylinders, and then again for low-pressure cylinders. Steam was fed from the steam dome down, high-pressure cylinders the exhaust steam from those being fed forwards in a pipe with attached joint - to the forward, low-pressure cylinders. The exhaust steam from the larger low-pressure cylinders is pushed through a slit in the sliding bearing in the top of the pivot truck and thus to the smoke box above, and the blast pipe.
