New Panniculus Retraction System Developed For Large Patient Positioning

Nashville, TN - GSquared Medical LLC will launch its new product line, Retentus, which is a panniculus retraction system for large BMI patient positioning.

"We are very pleased with the feedback received from doctors and staff who have used these retractors in the OR. They are very excited about the degree of exposure and the quick and easy application of the device(s)," said Tom Galbierz, GSquared Medical's Sales Manager and Principal. "The Retentus saves time, money and wear and tear on OR staff and the patient. This is a very simple solution to positioning the large patient for laparatomy and other procedures."

GSquared Medical's core device, the Panhandler-25, is a sterile pannus retractor constructed from latex-free material that is hypoallergenic. The panniculus retractor holds the pannus in place during a surgical procedure to maintain a clear field. Not only is it used in surgery, but for imaging, ultrasound and wound care. It will officially launch at The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) National Convention in Nashville, TN in June.
