Mobile Apps: Do They Have A Bright Future?

Mobile app development has been the most happening thing these days, in the world of technology. These apps have become such an essential entity that they are compelling more and more mobile users to switch from their traditional handsets to smartphones. With the frequency new smartphones are being launched, the demand for apps is automatically rising. Not just for the users, these apps are beneficial for the entrepreneurs as well. These apps have offered many new business opportunities across the board. Now, most of the companies are trying to encash the growth of mobile technology. As per experts, one-third of consumer brands will integrate payments into their own mobile apps within the next three years. In fact, many companies are already offering apps to provide timely information and product access to the consumers. Enhancing the apps to make payments easier will possibly lead to higher sales and profits.Recently the Apple app store hit the 50 billion app download milestone, and the Google Play store also announced the download of 48 billion app on the same day. A tough competition is going on among all the mobile giants. ...
... However Android is leading the app market. Of course the customers are getting the benefit of this competition as the mobile developers are creating various types of innovative apps that could add more ease to human life, while entertaining the users simultaneously.Although the mobile game developers or app developers work hard on these apps, still most of these apps are only good for a few minutes entertainment. Again, there are many important apps as well, like the banking apps and the health apps. Most of the entertainment related apps are downloaded, enjoyed for around an hour and then deleted. Although an average app developer hardly cares about its app once he gets paid, however it may still be a cause for concern. As per a recent research in UK, 20 percent of smartphone users have never downloaded an app on their device. Even more worrisome is that around 50 percent of users have not downloaded a new app in the last month. This indicates that, even if we are enthralled by apps in the beginning, the scenario could not be similar always. So, it is important that for the developers to create mobile apps having reliable quality, and of course an innovative idea behind it. Regular updates of these apps could also be helpful to keep the customers entertained and motivate them to buy more and more apps in the future. Also, a universal app store having apps that could run across operating systems will also be good for a brighter future of app development.Article Source: Mobile Apps: Do They Have a Bright Future?
