Are you a sad or a dull person or in plain language "Are you a stick in the mud"? Then you need to learn to laugh. There are a variety of laughs. Each person has their own unique laugh and sound. The laugh itself is not the problem. Do you laugh? Is it easy for you to laugh? Do you know when to laugh? Do you know why you laugh? There is another section that triggers the muscle movement that lets you laugh or smile. Then one section gives you a happy feeling after a funny experience. You must be willing to laugh. People who are happy and laugh a lot, generally have a lower blood pressure and a better disposition. Did you know that laughter is an exercise? Laughter will give your diaphragm a workout and increase your body's ability to use oxygen. A good laugh is like an internal jog. It gives a great cardiac workout and this is especially important for those who cannot do physical exercises. That same belly laugh will relax your muscles.
If you can give a good belly laugh often it will help your respiratory system. If you find that you need to be motivated to smile or laugh go find a mirror. Look at yourself. Do you like what you are seeing? Now try smiling at yourself. That's better isn't it. You might even try laughing out loud. Now put that smile on your face and go find someone else that needs a smile and give it to them. Guess what? You can't give a smile away, it just keeps coming back, the value of a laugh is priceless when you consider what it does and can do for you.
