In India, since 18th century when banks establishment started to now there are innumerous numbers of banks. Different banks are categorized into different sectors. Some banks are working on the private sector level; some are on public sector level. There are some more which are being operated on foreign banking purposes and at the very next, nationalized banks in India.
The key purposes of any banks are like accepting deposits, granting of loans and advances. These services actually fall under primary functions of banks. Nationalized banks are solely meant for boosting up the financial and economical status of India and help it grow faster in coming days. Because, as their main target is to finance the rural India, so, when rural India is wealthy, it means the entire India is free from foreign debt.
