Hanna-Barbera Productions, along with MetroGoldwynMayer Television produced New Tom & Jerry Shows in 1975 for Saturday mornings. These Tom and Jerry pictures made for ABC were based on theatrical characters Tom and Jerry. The plot in these shows was non-violent and toned down and the tow were shown becoming the best of friends after years of rivalry. They were shown competing in sports, roaming the world and be together on a number of adventures. These shows showed the two solving mysteries together and helping out others. You will find them much different from those Tom and Jerry episodes online.

You will find Quacker appearing only once in these shows but Joan and George, Two Shoes, Tuffy, Meathead, Topsy, Galore do not appear in this show. In 1975, forty eight Tom & Jerry cartoons of duration 7 minutes were produced. They were first aired on ABC Saturday morning as the New Tom and Jerry - Grape Ape Show, Tom and Jerry - Grape Ape, and Tom and Jerry -Mumbly Show and the international replays - Tom and Jerry Show.
