You can reach Jardin des Plantes by taking a waterbus along the River Siene.
St.Germain des Pres
Why not experience dining at one of Paris' most prominent villages? St. Germain des Pres is known for being once the get-together venue of the world's most famous literary giants and of the intellectuals, philosophers, musicians, and poets of the Existentialism era. The neighborhood may have lost some of its old charm, but it still remains one of Paris' great tourist spots.
The best thing you can do to better enjoy the sites and wonders of Paris within a day's time is to make sure to get hotel accommodations before you even leave your country of origin.
