Why Is A Yacht Charter Better Than Taking A Cruise?
You may be asking yourself, how could this possibly be? Just the term “private charter yacht” tends to ramp up the price tag in our minds. But, when you really break down what is received in exchange for what is paid, the differences are small and surprising.
One of the biggest things vacationers look forward to on a cruise vacation is the dining experience. Cruises are notorious for their all-you-can-eat buffets. Depending upon the cruise line, many of these are cafeteria style and lack a regular variety. Some thrive upon routine, but many will grow weary of soft serve and pasta salad. Even lobster can get old night after night. If you’re looking for variety or something more formal, you must venture into one of the ship’s restaurants, which is not included in your cruise price.
On the contrary, private charter yachts often make all their available food inclusive, and they are able to do this because a menu is agreed upon ahead of time. You decide what drinks you would like, what snacks you’d like to have on hand and what sort of food you want catered. The experience is much ...
... more personal, and in many instances, affordable.
The same is true for alcohol. While it is an additional charge on cruise ships, it can easily be included in a final price with a yacht.
When it comes to off-shore adventures, yacht charters win out again. Cruise ships have many activities from snorkeling to paddle boarding, but it sometimes costs extra. Even if the price is included (which in honesty most cruise ships strive for), you will still be exploring your destination with strangers and waiting in lines at times to use equipment.
Private yacht charters do not restrict hours of usage or make you wait your turn. The only customer on board is you and your invited guests, so you have round the clock access to whichever activity you wish.
Speaking of people, who exactly will be accompanying you on that cruise? Your guess is as good as the cruise line’s, as you could be sharing a ship with a high school graduation trip, swinging singles or any other demographic imaginable. This can really change the vibe of a cruise ship, while a private yacht charter is just for you and your loved ones. And doesn’t that sound so much better when it comes to vacation?
