Creating a gift pack is not an easy job for amateur gift packers. Here’s a small guideline to guide you into choosing the correct material for the correct occasion.
Identify the occasion on which the gift is to be packed?

A. Wedding – Weddings in India are larger than life occasions, as such nothing is too much or too less. A packing can be either very subtle and sophisticated or very elaborate and bright depending on the taste of the giver and the receiver. Popular colours for traditional Indian weddings are gold, red, maroon, orange, fuchsia pink, etc. whereas silver, light pink, off-white, bronze etc. are associated with contemporary or modern weddings.
B. Baby Showers, Announcements & Birthdays - Blue and Pink are the 2 colours that are most popularly associated with any baby occasion. However, colours like lilac, lemon yellow, lime green, red, orange etc. can also be used for innovation.
C. House Warmings – Nothing in particular is associated with house warmings in general. However, things which signify good luck like Om, kalash, sathiya, parrots, etc. can be used along with traditional ...
... Indian colours or flowers and crystals along with western colour combinations.
D. Anniversaries & Birthdays – One can use anything that appeals for birthdays & anniversaries unless it’s a 25th or 50th Anniversary or Birthday for which the apt colours are:
25th Anniversary or Birthday - Silver
50th Anniversary or Birthday – Gold
E. Festivals – Though one can use any auspicious colour for festivals, certain colours are very closely associated with particular festivals:

• Lohri – Orange, Green and other earth colours
• Valentine – Red
• Holi - All bright colours
• Teej -Yellow, Green
• Rakhi – Any Auspicious colour
• Navratri – Any Auspicious colour
