Cheap travel choices, including cheap airplane tickets, discount hotel rooms, and cheap vacation packages all can be found when considering which low cost cities are worth checking out.

The following are budget friendly cities recommended by Frommer’s Travel:

• Washington, D.C.’s offers many attractions which are free to visit. There is no charge to visit National Mall landmarks, including the Jefferson, Lincoln and Vietnam Veterans memorials. All of the Smithsonian museums offer free admission, including the Air and Space Museum, the Natural History Museum, the American History Museum, the Hirshhorn Museum, and the National Zoo.
