SEAT Altea 2.0TDI 140 Is For The Luxury Admirers
The SEAT Altea was devoted as the hottest people carrier ever on its launch at Geneva Auto Show in 2009. Its sporty new look can match other cars of its class but it has sharp styling with the sweeping lining that gives it more beauty. There is more to the Altea than a pretty facelift; it has a range of efficient and merely modern engines to allow the small and pretty package. The new Altea has Lots of equipment and is spacious than most of its competitors. The FR model is sportier with improved handling and sportier configurations and revised subtle exterior changes, engine tweaks and state of the art interior. The Altea is also using a low emission Eco Motive engine that is very cheap to run in the fleet of Altea engines.
The entry level 1.6 litre engine is just adequate for Altea but with 102bhp it can struggle with four adults and luggage while on the up hills or when joining the faster moving traffic conditions. It takes 12.5 seconds to reach 0-62 miles hallmark but the economy of this driver is acceptable with 39mpg for the city users. The more powerful choice ...
... in petrol engine range is 2.0litre FSI which is a good striker and smooth rider too, 150bhp and plenty of pulling power that can move the Altea from 0-62 mph in just 9.5 seconds however it was kicked out from the fleet in 2007 and the diesel range was started with 1.9TDi and other fellow 2.0TDI with 105bhp and 170bhp respectively. The 1.9TDI diesel engine is a bit noisy and not very refined fellow but it returns the mind blowing fuel economy of 52mpg (combined).
The best of the class engine in SEAT Altea is 2.0TDI with the best blend of performance and economy; it returns 140 bhp and 236 lb-ft of torque. It means that the Altea 2.0TDI has a bulk of pulling power and a quick acceleration response that can manage the 0-62 mph in just 9.9 seconds. These statistics make the Altea 2.0TDI an ideal in-gear performer on the motorway riding with few gear changes. It has the CO2 emission value of 166g/km. The Altea power terrain is also available with the six speed automatic power transmission modules that can turn the drive into a fun drive. For the 2013 models, a DSG automatic transmission is available as standard on diesel engines. The Altea is a well equipped car that gets power steering as entry level reference, air con, a CD stereo system, front electric windows, remote central locking system, electric door mirrors, climate control, steering wheel stereo controls, cruise control and a leather covered steering wheel and gear lever.
For 2013, the Altea range has been simplified with an S-Emotion level, dropped from the line-up and the introduction of a new trim level, 'Copa'. This leaves four different trim grades ; S, S Copa, SE, SE Copa, Copa levels essentially involves extra equipment like Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control and front fog lights. SE Copa trim grades involve an addition of satellite navigation system, DAB radio, parking sensors and automatic wind screen wipers. With the six airbags standard on all models along with the anti-locking braking system, it is a reliable and safe vehicle with five out of five stars on the Euro NACP crash assessment that makes it a safest people carrier and family car around.
