If you own a firm, even a small one, it is well worth considering contracting out your cleaning. There are many advantages to doing so.

Contract Cleaners Can Save You Money

One of the biggest reasons for doing so is that it can save you money. Most people automatically assume that employing contract cleaners is more expensive than employing their own cleaners.

However, usually this is simply not true. Looking at it purely from an hourly rate point of view, you might understandably conclude that having your own cleaners is cheaper. However, as soon as you factor in National Insurance, tax, sick pay and the cost of cleaning materials the cost soars.

In addition, in certain workplaces cleaners have to be trained. If they are working in dangerous spaces, they need to undergo health and safety training and may need to be shown how to use cleaning machinery. Contractors provide staff for a fixed price. They are the ones that absorb the cost of NI, tax, sick pay and training.

Importantly they also provide a more reliable service. If one of their cleaners calls in sick, they automatically provide a ...
... replacement, so your place of work is always pristine.

Contractors Provide Detail Cleaning Services Too

The great thing about contract cleaners is their flexibility. If you have a flood, they can usually provide an experienced clean up team immediately. They know how to get you up and running again, and how to do it quickly.

Larger contract cleaning firms are equipped to provide detail-cleaning services. If you want your windows cleaned, they can sort that out. Many will also provide a fleet cleaning service for your company's vehicles. A firm that runs its own canteen will need to deep cleanse their kitchens on a regular basis, a good contractor can handle difficult jobs like cleaning extractor fans and cooker hoods.

Many of these additional services are available on an ad-hoc basis, but can also be listed on the regular contract. Tackling it this way ensures that important cleaning jobs do not get missed. Ensuring that these jobs are done on a regular basis saves money, in the end. The longer jobs, like cleaning cooker hoods is left, the more time it takes to clean them, and the more it costs. A good contract cleaner will come up with a cleaning schedule that covers all of your cleaning needs.
