After you have packed up all your belonging but before you move into your new place, you have a responsibility to return your current rental property back to its original condition. For most people this is the last thing they want to do on their own which is why so many of them hire end of tenancy cleaning experts that are located in their area. For others they want to try to tackle these cleaning issues on their own. Unfortunately a lot of people are unfamiliar with what exactly their responsibility to clean is and what isn’t. If you want to get back your security deposit in full you better find out what your responsibility is.

Clean and Dust Every Room: For this you will want to start by cleaning from top to bottom. We are not talking about doing a quick dust over and vacuum like what you may do when you were tidying up around the house on the weekends. You want to make sure that all the light fixtures are cleaned, baseboards, crown molding, window frames, ceilings, tops of doors, etc. Every corner of the place covered top to bottom. Don’t forget ...
... to clean door handles and light switches.

Bathrooms: This is one area of the rental that you will want to spend a lot of time cleaning. This is why so many people like to hire professionals for this job. You will have to make sure that you completely descale the bathtubs, showers, toilets, and sinks. Also, don’t forget to clean the tiles, mirrors, and extractor fans as well as all the outer surfaces where there could be any trace of mold or mildew buildup. After the entire bathroom has been descaled you want to make sure that you disinfect the room entirely also. After these two processes have been completed, you will then be able to go in and clean it like you normally would when you’re doing your regular household chores.

Kitchen: If you’ve had hard water issues at the rental this will be a headache. Limescale buildup is one of the hardest things to clean. One of the areas where it’s most noticeable is the kitchen area. Don’t forget to make sure that all the appliances are thoroughly cleaned as well. This is where many tenants aren’t able to compare to the professionals when it comes to fully cleaning the kitchen.
