Going for an Egyptian vacation sounds quite stimulating. Even the thought of entering the pyramids and gazing at the mummified figurines of the dead Pharaohs can send a shiver of jolt down the body. And just in case, your wife and children have been nagging you to take them on a holiday and you have been querulous enough to turn down their requests, then perhaps it’s time that you prove yourself a generous dad by planning a tours to Egypt. The country can indeed baffle you with its spicy markets and colossal landmarks. But it is a hot country with an extreme climate. So, you need to pay good attention to your packing before catching that flight.

Here are some essential things you must not forget to pack while visiting the land of the pyramids and Pharaohs:

i. Hats, sun glasses and sun blocks: One thing which you must accept is that the sun won’t be your best friend in that country. Egypt is, by and large, a desert country. And even though the presence of Nile may have validated habitation and civilization, its weather is still very stuffy and smoldering. As a traveler, you must carry your hats, sun glasses, ...
... sun blocks and everything you can to shade your skin from the burning rays.

ii. Camera: Do not even think of traveling to Egypt without a camera. It would be the regret of a lifetime. It would be fair to say that this country has some of the most photogenic attractions like the sphinx and the pyramids. So, make sure to pack in your professional camera (and do not forget the charger)!

iii. Walking shoes: Even your Egypt tour operator would tell you that you need to pay good attention to the shoes you are carrying with you. The sandy, rocky and dry country that Egypt is could be demanding to the legs. It is time to bunk your stilettos and dispose of those stylish sandals. Good, hard and strong shoes would be the need of the hour.
iv. Medicines: It is common for travelers to get under the weather while heading to this part of the world. The climate is totally different from countries of Europe and America. So, before you set out for the tours to Egypt, do pack in some basic medicines.

v. Decent attires: Back home, if you are used to wearing only skimpy western outfits, then perhaps you need to shop for some decent clothes. Egypt is fairly conservative and you would be required to dress up adequately especially while visiting religious mosques and even some local attractions. Though you can still don those itsy bitsy pieces of clothes while romping on the beaches of Sharm El Sheikh, but during Cairo sightseeing or Luxor sightseeing, you will be expected to be properly attired with dresses which do not reveal skin. For more details, you can also consult your Egypt tour operator.
