Choose Stage 3 Prostate Cancer Treatment

Stage 3 prostate cancer can be detected by only one way, digital rectal examination. It is very important to get this done because there are several different stages of prostate cancer. This being said having a screening can better determine whether or not you are high risk or low risk. With stage 3 prostate cancer there are three different types of tumors you must look out for, T3a, T3b, and T3c. These are broken up into three different categories because they appear differently. T3a is actually a tumor that has grown outside of the prostate only on one side. T3b is when the tumor has grown outside of the prostate on both sides. T3c is one of the worst cases where the tumor has now grown out of the prostate and has affected the seminal vesicles. Stage 3 is one of the more high risk prostate cancer stages. Luckily patients with stage 3 prostate cancer do not have risk of it affect other parts of the body or even lymph nodes.
