What is document shredding?

Document shredding refers to the method employed to cut documents or paper into thin strips or fine particles. The shredding services are often engaged by businesses, organizations, government offices, private individuals, etc. to destroy secure and sensitive documents. Such document management services are carried out organizations and individuals to prevent identity theft and fraud by the miscreants.

• Disintegrators and granulators: These shredding equipments cut the document repeatedly and randomly to create particles that are tiny enough to pass through a mesh.

• Hammermills: In the document shredding business this kind of equipment is used to pound the paper through a screen.

• Pierce and Tear: In this kind of equipment rotating blades are used to pierce the paper before tearing it apart.

• Grinders: This type of equipment for shredding uses a rotating shaft that has cutting blades attached to it to grind the paper and convert it into tiny pieces that are small enough to fall through a screen.

• Papermasher bag: This is a special kind of bag that is used in the document shredding business. The documents to be destroyed are filled inside the bag and the bag is placed inside a w2ashing machine. The machine is then kept active till the paper becomes mashed to a pulp and turns unreadable.
