A mass communication degree from any Mass Communication Colleges in India opens up a broad spectrum of job opportunities for candidates. Be it an opening in print media or rewarding designations in corporate communications, people have adequate options to choose from.

The future is here!

The mass communication industry provides stimulating and well-paying employment opportunities in print media, ad agencies, visual media, broadcasting media, television and the internet of late. The industry is always on the lookout for skilled and diligent professionals. As a graduate from any mass communication college, you are open to a gruelling assortment of career options. The leading advantage associated with this industry is that it gives artistically bent people multiple opportunities for exploring and experimenting. From working as a copywriter to being an independent film maker, you can choose from the gamut of opportunities available.

... the backbone of our society. It is just not possible to erect a contemporary society without its dynamic participation. It is an exciting field to be in and one can make a flourishing career out of it .Mass media is used for naming the different modes of the media like television, cinema, newspaper, magazines, radio etc. These mediums make the common people aware of information. The candidates who do courses from mass communication colleges have vast career opportunities in different fields like research institutes, publishing, public relations and news media. Some of the job profiles for these candidates are Public Relations Officer, Editor, Art Director, Radio Jockey (RJ), Presenter, Feature Writer, Floor Manager, Photojournalist, Correspondent, Journalist, TV Correspondent, Screenwriter, Reporter etc. The different employment areas for them are Blogs, Companies, Radio Telecasting, Websites, , Advertising Agencies, Photography Companies, Periodicals, Press Information Bureau and Magazines, etc. Several government organizations also offer job opportunities to candidates who have completed mass communication courses. Today’s media is pretty different from what it used to be earlier. In the current scenario, it has become an important aspect of the daily life of people.

Market watch:

Not long ago, candidates with great communication skills and a degree in literature were considered apt for journalism and other areas of mass communication. However, with the advent of technology, every profession related to mass communication now requires skilled professionals who work efficiently for a larger section of the audience and are able enough to spread across the message effectively. With the increase in the number of blogs these days, it is generally claimed that ‘anyone’ can become a journalist, but the reality is far from it. Only people with professional training can qualify for such positions. Unlike the medical or engineering streams, there is no preparation strategy or set formula for making a career in mass communication. A graduate degree in the field is good to start with but a post graduate degree or diploma one can help candidates make a career out of it in any of the leading organisations. Meanwhile, candidates who have a penchant can start with blogging or freelancing for newspapers or a mass of other online publishing sites to expand their communication skills. Maturity, neutrality and a sensible train of thought are some of the prerequisites.
