There are ways that can help strengthen eye muscles as millions of people have eye problems, ranging from slight blurriness to near blindness. By wearing pinhole glasses, it helps your eye muscle to focus on objects more accurately.

Although pinhole eyeglasses have claimed to improve one's eyesight, there has been no rigorous studies or surveys that can prove about the claims scientifically. Pinhole eyeglasses are usually worn like your normal prescription glasses. They are normally a lot cheaper when compared to individual prescription glasses.

Pinhole eyeglasses are usually known as stenopeic glasses. They are generally made of opaque substance such as plastic or metal and have many tiny holes on the material. These tiny holes help reduce the width of the ...
... bundle of diverging rays coming from each point on the viewed object. They are also an excellent substitute for those expensive bifocal glasses as they are lightweight and more durable than conventional lenses.

Pinhole eyeglasses are used only for stationary viewing like reading or viewing computer screens. They can bring about clearer vision for people who suffer from refractive eye disorders such as hyperopia, presbyopia, myopia as well as astigmatism.

There are generally two types of pinhole eyeglasses which are traditional and modern. The traditional pinhole eyeglasses have flat or slightly curved lenses made of plastic that have actual tiny holes punched through them. Ultraviolet light is also reduced as the tiny holes restrict the amount of light that reaches the eye.

Whereas modern pinhole eyeglasses have solid, curved lenses made of the same plastic that is used for prescription glasses. The modern pinholes look more attractive in terms of design. The lenses usually provide full ultraviolet protection on both your eyes.

Pinhole eyeglasses come in various kind of styles that you can choose from. You can even attach the pinhole eyeglasses to your own spectacles as they can be easily fitted. You can wear them both indoor or outdoors and they usually last a lifetime. However, if you decide to wear them during one of your outdoor activities, it is not advisable to use them for driving or any moving activity.

Mike has been writing and publishing articles about health products. He recently came across a website on pinhole glasses which gave information about this old technique of using pinhole glasses for eyesight correction. Here's an article about pinhole glasses.
