The rise and growth of social networking has made Facebook a global platform not only for individuals but also for advertisers. Realization of the fact that Facebook and advertising go hand in hand is forcing more and more advertisers to promote their products and services on Facebook. Facebook being the largest social networking site in the world gives an assurance to advertisers that their ads will definitely reach their targeted audience. Also the growing popularity of Facebook ensures better reception of ads hosted on it. There are individuals who spend a lot of time on Facebook and they are the ones who are more exposed to these ads. They not only purchase quite a lot of these products and services they also promote these products by word of mouth advertising thus exposing others to these products and services.

The popularity of social networking has created a relationship between Facebook and advertising. There is no dearth of advertisers who are ready to pay regardless how much Facebook ads cost considering its far and wide reach.
