The extreme sport of Ultimate Fighting (UFC) is a mixed-martial arts scrap where combatants fight against one another in an octagon formed ring. The aim for the fighter is to crush the other fighter into a submission or KO. Fighters wear gloves that allow for them to wrestle, whilst simultaneously protect their hands when hitting opponents. Fighters frequently don boxing shorts and no shirt. Jewellery is also not allowed whilst fighting.

The UFC has several weight divisions: lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight. Just like boxing and other fighting sports, every weight division has its own superstar. For example the current heavyweight champ is Brock Lesnar. To get to be the champ of your weight division, you must fight other contenders before you reach the top and can challenge the actual champion, these are known as championship fights.

The UFC fights are generally broadcast on Setanta TV, with a few leading events such as the approaching UFC 85 accessible only on pay-per-view. The president is Dana White, an ex kick-boxer and gymnasium owner. He owns UFC along with Zuffa LLC in Nevada.

1. No biting of your opponent.
2. You are not allowed to punch or kick your opponent in the back of the head.

Lately, the Ultimate fighting championship has got more active in producing a more beneficial experience for the spectator. Refs are now being educated to pluck fghters up from the canvas to avert long-drawn out grappling fights.
